Shepard Fairey "The Rise" Video


In this new video Shepard Fairey talks about the influence graffiti, skateboarding and punk rock had on his life and the ways it shaped his art career.

  2. Shepard Fairey really is lame. As hard as it may be for some to believe, there are people that don't like his copycat art.
    Just pick up ANY book on Russian or Chinese Propaganda Posters of the 20th Century (uh, that would be the last century) to see just how "original" this guy is. The main difference is that the original poster artists did it right AND did it first. As for his Punk Rock contribution to the world - Mr. Fairey was probably 5 years old when punk rock finally arrived in the US and his art doesn't really reflect or conjure it's spirit. Sorry for the rant I am just so sick of his lame, corny, copycat art.
