What a stupid way to release a print.
We have been refunding a lot of "flippers" on our past releases. We try to fight this as much as we can.

Please feel free to suggest any other solution you would have in mind ?
Sell the full edition size at the time stated... Dont sell half of the edition before the sale actually begins!

DeleteLaw of averages should state that i would get one of these prints. I am refreshing my screen 10 minutes before release and i am quick on computers yet time and time again i miss the prints. It doesnt add up. I submitted my paypal payment within seconds on release. Only a bot or a machine could move faster the that.
DeleteLuckily i have a fast connection as well. But by selling like this you are making it impossible for someone who does not have fiber optic broadband to buy one of these.
How is that fair.

Same here pal. I am not convinced they sell these properly. I think they pre sell some to friends etc. This is the 3rd time i have failed. You would have to be a robot to beat that. Same with the Dal East print. Always the same people who get them and put them on ebay

what an absolute joke. how and why artists use this site to sell print is ridiculous. I bet only 10 went on sale full stop. I bet the rest got to friends and regular buyers.

ReplyDeleteAnyone ever wondered if they keep a few back to ebay themselves? I know it would be unprofessional but when dal east prints go for 500 quid the next day surely they are tempted to keep a few back and flog them on personal secret ebay accounts to rake in some cash.

grow up and get a real job. I am one of the people who paid 500 quid for the DALeast.... from Ebay. You missed it, move on. If you really want one, pick one up on ebay. All you are doing here is broadcasting to the whole world that you live in your mum's basement.... either that or you have a sandy vag.

Doesnt help true art fans out though. How i missed this is completely impossible. Only a machine could be my f5 fingers and rapid paypaling.
ReplyDeleteI am dreading the dal release. i missed that last time and i will again. I bought my last assassin of ebay and no doubt i will have to get this one on ebay aswell.
I love the art but if flippers are getting it and not true fans it wrong.
Love this site though and no where better for keeping up to date with street art. But you need to re think how you sell your prints
Thanks Neal but we are not a fan of censorship. In the interest of transparency, the variant only oversold by one and we decided to reward that buyer with a regular print as a gesture of goodwill. Over 30 regular prints went on sale. We don't need to dip into the edition. As you know, we have at least six other prints being released before Christmas so there will be other opportunities, but with literally hundreds of people going for 30+ prints per drop, your chances are always going to be slim. We're sorry you didn't succeed on this occasion but we wish you luck if you decide to try again in the future. Take care, SAN.

What a fair way to buy art and follow your favourite artist.
Its like boarding an easyjet flight using this site. Stressful and makes you feel anxious. (come on everyone lets fight for seats)

DeleteWow.......Is this your first drop ever fellas? Obviously you have never gone after highly sought after art prints and these comments are pretty sad. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO SELL ART PRINTS ONLINE. We were even lucky enough to know the time it was going to drop around. Keep up the good work SAN. Love what you guys do! Cheers.

ReplyDeleteWow, whole lotta sour grapes in here. Do those complaining realize how many collectors are trying for these prints and how many are actually available? You win some and you lose some, get over it and stop attacking SAN for offering some amazing artwork in very limited quantities at a great price.

DeleteSo, I got one, it sold out in 15 seconds, have none of you ever done a carting system like this before. It's fast, it's hard and a lot of butts get hurt. Worldwide demand is greater (by many factors) then amount. So logically there are more people here complaining then possible amount to have and thus impossible to make everyone happy. It's art and it's always limited. None are on Ebay either, so they did make it into the hands of collectors, which should make you happy.
