After Montreal, Canada (covered), Escif stopped by Denmark where he painted several new pieces on the streets of Horsens.
In town for the Public Art Event organised by Henrik Haven and Simon Caspersen, the Spanish artist knocked it out with his clever and conceptual pieces.
The major work with the characters who cultivate self-defense is located on a high wall at the port and is entitled “How to survive Horsens” while the other two pieces are located in the center of Horsens.
Take a full look at these pieces after the jump and check back with us soon for more updates from Escif.

”How to survive Horsens” (located at the Port):
Horsens have had a really bad reputation in Denmark. In the 1980s-90s people linked Horsens with social problems, violent people and crime – it didn’t really help Horsens’ image that Horsens State Prison housed some of the worst criminals since 1853 that had a tendency to stay in city when they got out jail.
By closing the prison in 2006 and a strong focus on art and culture Horsens is trying at it’s best to change this projected image and the city is now full of music and culture
