Globe-Trotting artist RONE just sent us his a series of shots from his newest pieces in Mexico and Australia.
Invited to paint in Juarez, Mexico by Hola Color 2013, the Australian artist had the opportunity to work along side local creatives trying to make a difference in their city, hosting workshops and murals with the community.
Juárez has been plagued by many evils in recent years including over 4000 women homicides that many cases were not even investigated. The symbol of this was a pink square with a black cross with the words ‘justice’ which can be seen plastered over Juarez as a symbol that these deaths will not go forgotten. Year on year, the city is improving, but these pink squares are reminder to the very recent violence suffered by the people of Juarez.
RONE then flew home where he quickly worked on an amazing collaboration in Brunswick, Australia with Australian artist Wonderlust.
