Belgian artist Sozyone Gonzalez recently painted this large mural in the lower town of Charleroi, Belgium, for the ongoing Asphalte Bienal D’Art Urbain. Known for his focus and maybe even obsession with villains, he created these two large portraits of classic early 20th century gangsters.
Minimizing the image to almost abstract, vectored style,  prepare reshape the area of the lower town. The large solid color areas works great on grey metallic background, and the bright red paint makes the image pop great from the surface, enriching the surrounding. By immortalizing them through this large mural, Sozyone pays tribute in its own way.
This piece can be found between the streets of Marchienne and Moulin in Charleroi, so check it out if your’e in the area, or just stay tuned from more info from the Asphalte.
