Fine artist Brendan Monroe recently discovered his passion for painting large murals, and the other day he finished this abstract piece for Converse’s Wall to Wall project in Berkeley.
For this piece the artist picked the simple and effective combination of black background and using his recognizable line work, created fantastic feeling of depth on this striking piece. Showing bubbly or wavy ground rising up and bursting into pieces, with 2 of his signature characters bouncing up in the air. This piece is an enlarged version of his illustrations and paintings he’s been creating and developing over the years and it’s soft feel is nicely opposing the rough brick wall it’s created on. The mural can be seen at Ledger’s Liquor, Acton and University if you’re in the area.
