Borondo is currently in Lagos, Portugal, taking part in 4th edition of the local ARTURb art residency, along with couple of other artists. During their stay, the artist will be creating both indoor and outdoor works with intervention, adaptation or artistic creation.
As an opening piece, Spanish artist created this signature intervention, painting a defaced man on a crumbling wall. With perfect placement and strong concept, his recognizable expressive technique matches perfectly with the idea behind the dark piece. By including the existing elements, such as dead tree and its roots into his work, Borondo’s disintegrating character is overlooking the town, and giving a bit of different perspective to the local property bubble.
Take a look at more images after the break and check back soon for more updates on Borondo and other new works from Portugal.
