Gris1 from the excellent Da Mental Vaporz crew just finished working on this brand new tribute piece entitled “Je Suis Charlie”.
The French street artist painted this strong and powerful mural showing a tank using a green pencil as his weapon. The tank is tagged with a peace and love sign and the Hebdo writing. Charlie Hebdo is a French satirical weekly newspaper, featuring cartoons, reports, polemics, and jokes. On 7 January 2015, three Islamist gunmen opened fire at the Paris office of Charlie Hebdo, killing twelve, including staff cartoonists Charb, Cabu, Honoré, Tignous and Wolinski, economist Bernard Maris and two police officers standing guard at the magazine, and wounding eleven, four of them seriously.
