Chinese artist DalEast was recently travelling around China, Nepal and India, landing in Delhi just on time to participate in the local St+Art Delhi project.
For this project he created this effective signature mural, showing a flock of birds swooping towards the arch window in the middle of the building. Usually creating large works with one or few main large characters, this work feels much lighter, but also, more dynamic. Using his unique signature technique DalEast devoted a lot of his time achieving the striking shading and perspective effect for this piece. In combination with existing elements, such as bush coming out of the abandoned building or posters on the two tone pink facade, the mural looks like a frozen reality.
