Spending long days on a lonely location of Bella Lui station on 2500m above sea level, Rustam Qbic just finished his newest mural. Working in deafening silence from morning till evening, Russian artist painted another recognizable piece filled with meaning and symbolism.
Using only his brush, he cleverly used the shape of the wall he was assigned by the Vision Art Festival. The image is showing one of his familiar characters peeking through a broken mirror. But seen from a certain angle, the mirror appears unbroken and hides the heart fountain behind it. With this work Kazan-based artist wanted to depict the ability of some people to see and experience beyond what others are seeing. The contrast between the tropical plants and the raw mountain surrounding adds to the work and certainly completes the piece that will be a reward for everyone that hikes to one of the highest peaks of the resort.
