Another artist that participated in this year’s Cityleaks festival in Cologne, was Sretan Bor from Croatia. We recently received the photos of his finished abstract piece titled “In Illo Tempore” (in that time).
Based on the Latin phrase often used in Gospel lectures during Masses to mark an undetermined time in the past, the piece is a symbolic narrative of how the world began and how people first came to inhabit it. Using very limited color palete and abstract, organic-like objects and shapes, the artists depicts a horizon along with shapes that look like primitive forms of life. The piece can be found in the area around Eckewardtstr/Wolfhartstr, and it’s visible from metro line 13.
Check out more photos of the finished piece by Robert Winter along with couple of process images, and come back soon for more reports from mural festivals worldwide.
