Fresh from Miami, our friend Fin DAC is now in New Zealand where he’s spent the last few days, with a host of other international and local artists painting at the inaugural Street Prints Mauao Festival in Mount Maunganui on the North Island.

Deviating slightly from his usual Asian themed work, the Irish artist has tapped into the local culture to produce a Maori inspired piece entitled Taaniko. Using a local model/muse, the artist spent 4 days creating a mural which, he informs us, depicts both the strength of woman and the sadness at the loss of culture/heritage of the Maori people.
